Artist's Comments

This is the pendant I made for my upcoming Jareth cosplay(s).

This picture was hard to get because, obviously, it's bit difficult to take a picture of yourself that has both of your hands in it & the timer on my camera is a nightmare. I could've just taken one of the pendant on it's own, but thought this was much quirkier. Think it turned out quite well (both the pendant and the photo).

Disclaimer: Jareth/Labyrinth belongs to Jim Henson & co, Brian Froud, Stephen Spielberg, etc.

I used crayola model magic (but any air-drying clay or bakeable clay like fimo or sculpey would do, model magic's just lighter) to sculpt the main shape and I used an unbent paperclip & my nails to put on the details. Before it dried I imbedded a wire loop in the back. Once it had hardened I spray painted it black, once that was dry I used Gamesworkshop's Citadel paint in Boltgun Metal (a couple of layers, again any silver acrylic paint in the right shade would do), the gold bit was a couple of layers of cheap-ish gold acrylic paint. The chain is just a chain off an old necklace I had kicking about.

I dunno, just sort of made it really by copying screenshots. Glad you like it. :)

Ta, that might take a while since I haven't started making it yet. lol. Technically I wasn't supposed to make the pendant yet, but I had the model magic out and just decided to... much like the Luna Lovegood costume which I made at the same time. These are not the things I am supposed to be working on right now, d'oh.

lol. It probably won't be until near the end of the year/start of next tbh, I'm not allowed to work on it any more until after I've finished my AX & Aya costumes... Except of course accumulating leggings (cos those are useful in everyday-wear) and maybe ordering the wig (watching it on ebay atm). ^^;

Thanks for the fave btw. :)

Model magic is AWESOME!
I love that stuff. I'll -have- to put a picture of the Kanna mirror I made when it's dry...
